What Are the Standards for Production Safety Helmets?

2023 09/01

First. Production specification requirements

1. Vertical spacing: Measured according to the specified conditions, the value should be between 25 - 50mm.

2. Horizontal distance: Measured according to the specified conditions, the value should be between 5 - 20mm.

3. Wearing height: Measured according to the specified conditions, the value should be between 80 - 90mm.

4. Hat band size: divided into the following three numbers:

Small: 51 - 56cm.

Medium: 57 - 60cm.

Large: 61 - 64cm.

5. Weight: a complete safety helmet, the weight should be as light as possible, should not exceed 400G.

Size of brim: Minimum 10mm, maximum 35mm. 20°-60° tilt of the brim is preferred.6

Ventilation holes: Ventilation holes can be provided on both sides of the safety helmet.

8. Tongue: Minimum 10mm, maximum 55mm.

9. Colour: The colour of the helmet is generally light or eye-catching, such as white, light yellow and so on.

Second. The production of technical requirements

1. Impact absorption performance

With three helmets were in 50 +2C (mine helmet 40 ° C), - 10 +2C and immersion in three cases of treatment, and then 5Kg steel hammer from 1m height drop impact test, the maximum value of the impact force on the head mould should not exceed 4900N.

2. Penetration resistance

According to the material of the safety helmet, 50+2°C, - 10+2C and immersion in water are selected as one of the three methods for processing, and then 3KG steel cone is dropped from a height of 1m for the test, the steel cone should not be in contact with the head mould.

3. Low temperature resistance

Where below - 10 ° C helmet impact absorption performance and penetration resistance to meet the above requirements.

4. Combustion resistance

With GB2812 - 2006 "safety test method" flame and method of combustion helmet 10 seconds, remove the flame, the cap shell flame should be able to self-extinguish in 5 seconds.

5. Electrical insulation performance

AC 1200V withstand voltage test for 1 minute, leakage current should not exceed 1.2mA.

6. Lateral rigidity

Use the method stipulated in GB2812-2006 to add 43kg pressure to the helmet laterally, the maximum deformation of the cap shell should not exceed 40mm, and the deformation after unloading should not exceed 15mm.

Third. Marking requirements

1. Each safety helmet should have the following four permanent markings:

(1) Manufacturer's name and trademark, model number.

(2) Year and month of manufacture.

(3) Licence number.

(4) Inspection and certification marks.

2. With other properties of the helmet should be marked on the hat in accordance with the following provisions

(1) In line with the performance of low-temperature resistant helmets, make low-temperature temperature marking, such as "- 20% ° C", "- 30% ° C" words.

(2) Safety helmets that meet the requirements for flame resistance shall be marked with "R" on the cap.

(3) Safety helmets that meet the requirements for electrical insulation shall be marked "D" on the cap.

(4) For safety helmets meeting the requirement of lateral rigidity, the "CG" mark shall be made on the helmet.
